First there were dinosaurs. And then they died.
A bunch of other stuff, mostly of no importance, happened, until when in 1950, I was born on a rural Wisconsin farm. I grew up a dyed in the wool Green Bay Packers fan and remain so to this day.
I’ve knocked around in the music and radio business since dirt was young, moving to New Mexico the first time, in the 90’s. My most notable moment was meeting the lovely and talented Patti, my wife.
Patti is a New Mexico girl, born and raised, and also has the good sense to be an avid Packer fan. We met in Roswell, where I was news director for a group of radio stations.
I was honored by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association with ten consecutive “Best Large Market Newscast” awards, as well as the “Best Large Market Newscaster” award.
We Left Roswell after September 11th, to be nearer family.
We moved back to New Mexico in 2005, choosing Ruidoso as our home. We have two cats, Pepper and Delilah, and it is our “privilige” to serve them.
It’s really nice to love the place you live, AND, what you do for a living.
Mike.
